Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies

3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup vegan butter, softened
1/2 cup shortening (I used Crisco)
3 tablespoons water
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cup vegan chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

In a large bowl, cream together the margarine, shortening, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.  Add the water and vanilla.  Mix in the flour, baking soda, and salt.

Add the chocolate chips.

Shape the dough into walnut-sized balls and place the cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet. 

Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 8-10 minutes.

Makes approximately 45 cookies.
